Welcoming 2009

That was a few days before 2009. My friends and I were discussing about a new year party. We were really excited, and finally we agreed that the party will be held at my house. And on 31st December 2008, I prepared everything. At 10 o’clock my friends were started to come, there were about 16 people. They also brought some other stuff, like the fireworks, firecrackers, new year hat, and trumpet. One of my friend brought along fish because we decided to eat grilled fish and chicken, and I prepared for the chicken. Beside my friend, my family also joined the party, they even made the party more glorious, and my uncle bought so many corns to be roasted.

While waiting till the last seconds of 2008, we were having a chat, singing, and preparing the food, those moments were unforgettable. And when the last seconds of 2008 came closer we blew the trumpets, shouting, and lit the fireworks that was so beautiful and noisy!

After that, we enjoyed our food, our so-late-night food. But unfortunately the fish didn’t taste good, but the good news was the chicken tasted great! And next, after we finished our food, the boys quietly lit the fire crackers and suddenly threw those near the girls, we were shocked and screaming, but that just made them happier and kept chasing and scared us!
That was funny actually, we ran for a quite long time to avoid those naughty boys! But finally they were running out of firecrackers and stopped chasing us, eventhough we were really tired after running round and round, we took a few time to take pictures together, and no hard feeling for the boys.

And then we were all took a bit rest inside my house while watching television, then at about 3 o’clock in the morning, one by one my friend went home. That party was great, we had so much fun, and told me what friendship means, until now I still keep in touch with all of them eventhough we’re in different high school.
