My Holiday at Pekan Raya Jakarta

Last holiday, my family and I went to Pekan Raya Jakarta. It was a yearly event to celebrate the birthday of Jakarta and it was held on Jakarta International Expo, started from Juny 22th until July 22th. There were a lot of interesting things being sold there, such as foods, snacks, clothes, souvenirs, also electronic gadget like hand phones and notebooks. Actually, we have gone there the year before, but since we didn't go anywhere on the holiday, we decided to go there again this year.

    We left home around 3p.m. At first, the street wasn't crowded, but then we realized that we took the wrong route. When we finally made to the right one, it was traffic. Fortunately, it didn't last too long so that we can arrived before the nightfall.

    We arrived at 5p.m. It wasn't weekend, so the ticket counter wasn't crowded. Not as much as if it was on weekend, at least. Luckily, my mom got the empty line, so we don't have to wait for long. After we got the tickets, we went into the event area.

     The first stand we visited was a food stand. We bought some burgers and tea, and then we walked around the event area. The area of Pekan Raya Jakarta was pretty wide. There are four main buildings in it, with hundreds of outdoor stands. We didn't visit all the stands of course, but we bought many things there, such as snacks, bag, souvenirs and clothes.

    After some hours walking around, we got tired and decided to go home. It was raining when we came out, but fortunately, we brought umbrellas so we can go to the parking lot. We left the event area around 10 p.m and arrived at home at 11 p.m.
